Van Galder bus
A total of 33 Edgewood College students, faculty and friends boarded the Van Galder Bus on Saturday March 23, 2007 in order to drive to Milwaukee to see the Chicano Now Exhibit at the Milwaukee Public Museum.
On the trip down to Milwaukee, the students saw the 26 minute video the "Art of Resistance" which helped provide a framework for what they were going to see and here in Milwaukee.
The invention and ingenuity of the Low Rider car
The Chicano Now multi-media exhibit detailed the history of the Low Rider car. How hydraulic pumps and other mechanical devices were used from other uses and then tranfered to use in cars to help them change their height and to "jump".
Culture Clash played a key role in "explaining" the Chicano Now exhibit
Culture Clash, a Chicano Comedy troupe since 1984, serve a media tour guides for the Chicano Now exhibit.
